We always endeavour to put on extra sessions and trips and make Half Term fun for the young people that attend Silx. This February half term has been no exception. On Tuesday 19th February we enlisted the help of Simone from Fusion Hair and Beauty to put on a girlie pamper day. The young people that attended had a great time learning all about how to cleanse and prep their skin and how to apply natural looking make up correctly, they were all given a make over and had the opportunity to practice themselves. The girls also practiced nail art and did each others nails as well as making some incredible soaps, lip balms and bath bombs that they all took home as gifts for their families.

Ice Skating is always the most popular activity whenever we ask the young people what they want to do, so we listened and put on a trip to Whitley Bay Ice rink on Wednesday 22nd February. 14 young people went along with staff to the evening skating session and a fab time showing off their best Torvill and Dean moves, luckily everyone stayed on their feet!

As well as the extra sessions we were still open as normal for our teen bar, we hope all of the young people have had an enjoyable half term break and we are now looking forward to planning what we are going to be getting up to over the Easter Holidays.
